CASE STUDY: STRULE PROJECT

Six Schools and a total of 148 students had an involvement in the project, one teacher engaged with the project from each school.

Each school availed of 2.5 days of direct classroom support. Teachers availed of a full day of training before the project started.

A show case day was hosted at the end of project with all schools invited.

In addition to the school days, AmmA staff and the local artist collectively engaged in 15 days work which involved preparation, administration and preparing exhibitions.


CASE STUDY: ST BRONAGH’S PS, ROSTREAVOR

St Bronagh’s whole school focus is the development of computational thinking across all key stages. A number of teacher training days took place in term one 2018 and term one 2019 allowing teachers to become familiar with ICT Tasks that will be used with the following Apps — ScratchJr, Kode Karts, Scratch3. Students were introduced to the CCEA Key Stage 2 Thematic Unit Wind document. After completing an introductory session with the teacher, the class were introduced to the structural layout of a wind turbine by AmmA.
