BBC Ten Pieces – Getting creative with classical music

By AmmA  //  Uncategorized  //  No Comments

Ten Pieces II is a nationwide project which aims to open up the world of classical music to 11-14 year olds.  Ten classical pieces have been selected to act as a starting point to provide inspiration to develop their own creative skills by using the music.  You don’t have to be musical to get involved we are looking for creativity from a range of different art forms and inviting responses in any of the following:

– Dance / Movement

– Digital Art or Animation

– Performance Poetry

– Composition

To be in with the opportunity of having your own creative piece showcased on the BBC Ten Pieces website you just need to upload a film, audio recording or stills which illustrates your original work(content must be uploaded by an adult, please see website for full guidelines).  But that’s not all, submissions received before the 24th March 2016 will be in with a chance of being invited to take part in the BBC Ten Pieces Proms on the 23rd and 24th of July 2016 at the Royal Albert Hall in London!  We will even help cover the costs of travel and accommodation to the event.
