RDS Primary Science Fair Belfast – Call for Entries 

The RDS Primary Science Fair is coming to Belfast this June 8-9 and is now looking for primary schools to apply. Open to Key Stage 2 classes the Fair is a non-competitive event and engages the entire class in a science related investigation.

Participation in the Fair develops students’ science, maths and ITC skills, as well as soft skills such as confidence, communication, social interaction and teamwork. The Fair supports teachers to fulfil the requirements of the primary curriculum with particular reference to Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities.

Teachers and parents can log on to www.primarysciencefair.com on Wednesday, February 1 at 3.30pm for a live and interactive webinar that will answer any queries or questions you have.

NI Science Festival: Time Travel

The AmmA Centre is pleased to announce that as part of the NI Science Festival we will be organising a STEM activity day on 20th February (11:00 – 15:00) in our centre for ages 8+.

The event will consist of hands on activities making the link between time travel and its creative practical applications.

Participants will have opportunities to explore:

1) Virtual reality with time travel

2) Animation and time lapse

3) Green Screen special effects

4) Creating sound & music

Places are free however booking is essential – Get a FREE ticket!
